Prior to the merger in February of 2020, Pastor Brian was leading Valley Community Church while Pastor Justin was leading Faith Baptist Church. They are thrilled to be serving this new, merged work together!

Brian Hardesty (co-lead pastor)

Picture
Brian considers it a privilege and a joy to be called to the work of the ministry. He served as the lead pastor at Valley Community Church for about 4 years prior to the merger. He has been blessed to be the husband of his precious bride Jamie and to be the father of five wonderful children. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he is accustomed to the rain, the temperate climate, and the flannels.

But all of that is insignificant in comparison to what is true about his eternal identity. He counts himself a sinner who has been merciful saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. In the early 2000’s, Jesus snatched him from the grip of the evil one and adopted him as His own. A few years later, Brian felt called to proclaim the gospel to Jesus’ church in vocational ministry.

There is no better life to live, than a life that is Christ’s as Paul says in Philippians 1:21 and Galatians 2:20. Brian knows he’s a blessed man! Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Justin Howe (co-lead pastor)

Picture
Justin had the privilege of serving as a pastor to children, youth, and families for more than a decade. He was the lead pastor at Faith Baptist Church for seven years prior to the merger of the two churches. Justin grew up in a few different areas of the US, and enjoys the variety of landscapes in NW Washington.

Justin is a husband to Dorothy and a dad to three beautiful young ladies and one incredible young man. He loves speaking about Jesus in the church and the community. As a speaker, he would be disappointed if he ever took the exciting Word of God and made it sound boring.

He enjoys hanging out outdoors, playing sports or coaching, and going for walks with his wife. It wouldn’t be shocking to find him with a cup of coffee and talking with someone about life and their relationship with Jesus. Lastly, if you offer him a taco, it's unlikely he would tell you no.

Isaac Owen (music director)

Picture
Isaac has been serving the Church as a worship leader since shortly after dedicating his life to Christ at age twelve. The Lord has graciously given him the opportunity to lead and organize music teams at nearly every church he’s been a part of for almost two decades.

Every good gift points to the good gift Giver (James 1:17). This is at the heart of leading worship through music; using the gift of music to invite people to know and worship the One who gave it. Isaac feels incredibly humbled to serve Christ’s Church in this way”

Before joining the body at Valley Community Church, Isaac spent nine years serving in the Air Force before separating in 2019 to answer the call to vocational ministry and pursue a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies at Western Seminary. Isaac is married to Siri (the person, not the iPhone application) and they have two wonderful daughters.

When time allows, he can be found exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with his family, cycling, reading, or treasure hunting at the local secondhand store.

“But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” -Acts 20:24
